Silence is a precious gift. When we place ourselves in silence before God, we create space to hear Him. It is not an empty silence, but a silence full of attention, openness, and humility. It is in this silence that God speaks to us—through dreams, through night visions, through whispers to our heart.
We begin Speaking of faith advice, which I like to keep for myself and share so as not to forget and also to propagate the faith that is in Christ Jesus. It has been a year, and I decided to return to writing here on the internet. In Ecclesiastes 11 it says, and I learned, that if we have food we should share it with 7 or even with 8 because we do not know what evil will be upon the earth, or which seed will sprout, this one or that one; or cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it. I know the enemy was furious, but I am back and I will be brief. Let us keep in mind that the Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want, Psalm 23.
Let us also read Psalm 1 and Matthew 5.
There is a place that says that a woman does not dominate a man, but with modesty exercises motherhood; so do not feel dominated; I just like to talk about biblical passages. In Job 33: God is greater than man. And now, Job, hear my words, pay attention to what I am going to say. I will open my mouth, and my tongue will form words with the roof of my mouth. I speak with a sincere heart, and my lips will speak clearly. It was the breath of God that created me; the breath of the Almighty gave me life. If you can, answer me; prepare yourself, and argue against me. Look! Before God, I am the same as you: I too was taken from the clay. Do not be afraid of me, for my authority will not intimidate you. You said and repeated in my ears, and I still hear the sound of your words: "I am pure, and I have no fault! I am innocent and I have committed no sin! God, however, invents pretexts against me and treats me as an enemy. He puts my feet in the stocks and watches all my steps". To this I say that you are not right, for God is greater than man.
God speaks in various ways. - How dare you raise a lawsuit against Him saying that He does not answer any of your accusations? God speaks, now in one way, now in another, but people do not pay attention. He speaks in dreams, or in night visions, when deep sleep falls upon man sleeping in his bed. Then He opens the ear of the human being, whispering His warnings to turn him away from evil and prevent him from being filled with pride. In this way, He prevents man from descending to the grave and crossing the border of death. Sometimes, God also corrects man with suffering in bed, when the body shakes without ceasing, and the person refuses to eat, with disgust even for their favorite food; when the person grows thin before our eyes and their bones begin to show. Then they draw near to the grave, and their life is delivered to the abode of the dead. However, if the person finds a favorable angel, an intercessor, among a thousand, who shows him his duty, who has compassion on him and says to God: "deliver him from going down to the pit, for I have found a ransom for him", then his body will again become young, and he will return to the days of his youth. Then he will plead with God, who will answer him. God will joyfully show him His face, causing the man to become righteous. This man will tell others: "I sinned and violated justice, but God did not punish me as I deserved. He delivered me from falling into the pit, and now my life can behold the light". See how God does all this twice and even three times for man, in order to bring his soul back from the pit and enlighten him with the light of life. Pay attention Job, listen to me, keep silent while I speak. If you have anything to say, answer me. You may speak, I am willing to vindicate you. If you have nothing to say, then listen to me, hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.
First of all, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all those who accompany us on this journey of biblical reading and reflection. Your interest and dedication in exploring these passages with us is a blessing that does not go unnoticed.
The passage we share today in Job 33 invites us to a profound meditation on three essential pillars of our faith: pride, faith, and hope. Through the words of Elihu, we are confronted with an unavoidable truth — God is greater than man. This simple statement reverberates throughout our existence, asking us to abandon the illusion of control and surrender to divine sovereignty.
Pride often leads us to question God's designs, to raise accusations against Him as if we were capable of understanding the totality of His plan. But Job 33 reminds us that God speaks in multiple ways — in dreams, in night visions, through suffering and grace. Our duty is to listen with humility, recognizing that our understanding is limited and that divine wisdom transcends our arguments.
Faith, in this context, manifests itself in the ability to trust that God guides us, even when we do not understand the path. It is faith that allows us to accept divine warnings, which turns us away from evil and protects us from the abyss of excessive pride. And hope? Hope resides in the certainty that God is our righteous judge and the holder of all power and glory — and that, therefore, we can rest in His providence.
May this reflection inspire us to walk with greater humility, trust, and hope, always recognizing that God is the Lord of all glory and power.
